Urmila Kapoor shares with us her sweet and sour chilli pickle recipe, in which she uses large red chillies spiced and sweetened to make a delicious pickle which enhances the taste of the savouries and food it accompanies.

Chillies are an integral part of Indian cuisine. They are dried and used as a spice, eaten fresh, added in chutneys, sauces. Come winter and the large green and glorious red colour chillies are available fresh in the market. These are less pungent and are often used stuffed as vegetables or pickles.
